Is there a difference between a plastic surgeon and a cosmetic surgeon?.

Yes. "Cosmetic surgeon" is not a protected title in the UK, and any doctor may use it. "Plastic surgeon" is protected: it requires entry on the GMC specialist register in plastic surgery. Mr Holmes is a GMC-registered Consultant Plastic Surgeon and holds FRCS (Plast).
